Over 300,000 Australians visit a chiropractor every week, chiropractors play an important role to improve the spinal health of everyday Australians. Chiropractic is the largest non-surgical, non-drug primary healthcare system in the world.

Chiropractors work with your spine to help influence your nervous system.

Our nervous system is the master control system of our entire body, controlling every muscle, tissue and organ, it is a complex communication network, and our spinal cord is the major pathway, carrying signals to and from the brain. The Brain gathers information from our joints and muscles via the spinal cord to form a detailed map of our body,  which helps to guide our movements and functions. This brain-body connection allows us to maintain balance, coordination, and respond effectively to our environment.

The joints of our spine, pelvis, and cranial system (skull), along with the surrounding muscles and soft tissues, play a vital role in housing and protecting our brain and spinal cord. They also support our posture and enable smooth movement. These joints send millions of signals to the brain about where our body is in space and our movement. The brain processes this information to guide our movements. Distortions to these joints and tissues can disrupt our stability, movement, and even cause pain. Chiropractors are experts at identifying these distortions, and perform adjustments to restore balance, improve movement, and enhance overall function of our nervous system, and entire body.

Chiropractic care for Babies and children

Many parents choose to bring their babies and children to Chiropractors for the assessment of their neuro-musculo skeletal system. The birth process, even the most uncomplicated, places a tremendous amount of stress on developing bodies and nervous systems.

Infancy and childhood are times of rapid growth. It is important to ensure that the connections between the brain and body develop and function well. A well functioning nervous system can support the achievement of developmental milestones as your baby grows.

I am committed to the careful assessment and gentle correction of your child’s spine and neuro-musculo-skeletal system to support their healthy development.

Common concerns parents have when visiting a Chiropractor are head turning preferences, feeding issues, plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome), difficulty with tummy time or delays in motor mile stones, balance and coordination issues.
